Fourteen old apartment buildings in districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 and Tan Binh in HCM City will be rebuilt in 2022 after long delays, city People’s Committee deputy chairman Le Hoa Binh has said.
Dangerous and degraded residential apartment blocks in Ha Noi will be renovated by 2025 in compliance with the project on renovation and reconstruction of old apartment buildings in Ha Noi, which was endorsed by the Ha Noi People’s Council on Thursday.
Nineteen investors have been appointed by the Ha Noi People’s Committee to conduct research and draw up plans to renovate and rebuild 30 old apartment buildings in the city.
The renovation status of old apartment buildings and hurdles to obtaining construction permits were among the top concerns of the construction sector at a dialogue held with HCM City authorities on October 31.
The Ministry of Finance proposed the government should offer a preferential corporate income tax of 10 per cent tor firms that are renovating deteriorating apartment blocks.
